SEAFOOD RENEWAL APPLICATION

Foreign seafood exporters required to complete 2022 annual renewal with GACC and AQSIQ

According to AQSIQ and GACC notice. 248/249 Foreign exporters seafood register, all foreign Seafood processing plant / Seafood fishing and seafood transport boat / Seafood processing boat / Seafood independent cold storage are required to file their company information online with the Bureau of Import and Export Food Safety of AQSIQ, China’s General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China. This requirement comes into force with effect from January 01, 2022 at AQSIQ and China customs.

Application Now

AQSIQ Renewal: When the validity date is reached, an application for renewal may be submitted to maintain the certificate/registration for another 1 or 3 years. The renewal procedure will be according to the registration number validity period. The registration number and the company name must again be indicated when submitting the renewal application form.

RENEWAL SEAFOOD CATEGORIES

Salmon, Atlantic salmon, herring, sardines, herring, tuna, bonito, mackerel, anchovy, eel,
Tilapia, channel catfish, catfish, canned fish, canned shark fin. Sturgeon caviar substitute. Crab, shrimp, lobster. Crustaceans, crayfish, oysters (oysters including sea fans, mussels). Cuttlefish and squid, clams, clam and shellfish, abalone, snail, sea cucumber, sea urchin, jellyfish, aquatic invertebrates.

CORRECT RENEWAL PROCESS

AQSIQ will keep a file of applications of exporters who have submitted complete filing information and send approval information to the China customs clearance system.

• Registration number
• Renewal Application Form

A list of filed seafood manufacturer and exporters with their company names and countries / regions shall be generated by the AQSIQ registration management system and made public on China Customs declaration system and AQSIQ database.

Note: AQSIQ strongly recommends that applicant renewal directly and do not leave this application process to their importer or distributor. Importers require your registration number to complete China customs clearance. Should you change your distributor, or have multiple distributors, they may be reluctant to share your registration number and authorization password if circumstances change.
